Carlisle relies on our firefighters and EMTs for coverage 24X7. Every day of the year--rain, sleet or snow! Carlisle's rural water supply (no hydrants) means that we need a special team of people to work together anytime there's a fire, car accident, medical emergency or many other types of urgent needs in Carlisle. CFD members carry pagers that tell us when and where there is an emergency, and then we respond to the station to get our equipment and apparatus.
If you are in excellent physical shape, over the age of 18, and are within seven minutes of the fire station, you might be a good candidate for the CFD. You'll get trained and have the satisfaction of helping your community members when they need it most. It's a great way to enrich yourself, and the town.
